Patterns

Pattern is a work done over the course of two years, which explore the act of repeating the same image over and over again to create dimensions. It is also based on Philip Glass's theories as well as Sufism theories of repetitive patterns of sounds and breath. I look to create a world of dimensional spaces within a flat surface by overlapping textures and rhythms. I invite the viewer to see his own world inside my art work, his own version, each person walking away with a new perception of the same image. This is a very important point to how I express myself, for I hope to inspire people to ask questions about how we perceive as individuals in a society which is so densely coded.
